The most convenient way to get there is by car. It takes about 3.5 to 4 hours to drive from Kuala Lumpur. The journey is scenic but winding, so if you’re prone to motion sickness, consider taking breaks along the way. The two main routes are:

  • Tapah Route (old road) – More challenging with sharp bends but offers beautiful waterfalls.
  • Simpang Pulai Route (new road) – Smoother and wider, recommended for first-time visitors.

By Bus

Several bus companies operate daily trips from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) in KL to Cameron Highlands. The ride takes about 4 to 5 hours and stops at Tanah Rata, the main town.

By Private Tour or Taxi

If you prefer a hassle-free experience, you can book a private driver or join a guided tour, which typically includes stops at key attractions.
